Role and responsibility of the team
- Will work in prescribed schedule in accordance to iMPACT team.
- Will examine all the ICU patients and decide on further management and involve other specialists sos basis.
- Surgical cases to be admitted under respective department surgeons.
- Medicine cases to be admitted under Respective Physician/ICU team.
- Junior consultants and registrars will do stay duties as per duty rota and consultants will take rounds of ICU patients and supervise the team.
- Help in accreditation of ICU by ISCCM and bring Post MBBS,IDCCM and IFCCM courses.
- Medico legal cases will be dealt as per the hospital guidelines/requirement.
- Team will look after ICU cases only and will be part of the code blue team.
- Will actively involve in educating nursing staff and doctors.
- As we are adult specialty we cater only to adult critical care only.
- Paediatric cases shall be managed by Pediatrician or the respective consultant. ICU team is involved in emergency situation only.
- Management to provide the necessary environment, equipment and other supportive manpower.
- Nursing ratio and strength to be maintained as per international guidelines. Management and department of nursing will take the responsibility of planning nursing duty rota, salary and all the other responsibility.
- Team will formulate the guidelines and protocols for ICU and code blue team
